What Grinds My Gears! Slow DOWN!

First off, gotta say happy birthday to my wonderful husband. I probably drove him nuts today by trying to make it a perfect day... but that's what wives are for right?

So, I'm outside today attempting to shoot hoops with my hubby (I think that's slang for playing basketball, no?) and like 3 cars in a row did at least 50 miles per hour down my neighborhood. This is a neighborhood with kids in almost every house!! Who does that? On top of that, I know that one of those jerks has twin boys that are under the age of 5!!!

Heed of caution, I might throw a rock at you if you go 50 miles per hour down my block... just think, what would Jesus do?

Sleeping is for losers!

Ok so as my first blog everyone should know that I have totally become the worst sleeper in the world! I used to be the best sleeper in the world until I got pregnant (again) back in July of 2009. Now, I hear everything and unfortunately after I'm awake it takes me forever to get back to sleep and then I only get in maybe an hour or two at the most!

Things that keep me up all night:
1. Paranoid Parent Syndrome - my kids make one sound and I'm terrified they're choking or need a hug!
2. Bad dreams - I've always had the most vivid dreams. Unfortunately anytime I have interrupted sleep I have the worst nightmares.
3. Loving hubby snores - ok, so I never noticed my husbands sleeping habits until I was up feeding Tristan (my oldest son). I believe they are getting worse too, it takes a blow horn to even stir him in his sleep.
4. My neighbors are vampires - ok so not literally but there are like three neighbors that are up at ridiculous hours of the night. Granted, there's a police officer and a fireman that live in close proximity but I don't understand the guy that is unemployed... really what does he have going on at 1:40 in the morning?
5. Sleeping is for losers!

What I think is great - I have three friends that are currently pregnant... they too will probably fall under the same spell and I will have people to talk to at night (sorry guys, but at least you know that you can call or log online and I'll be here!).

So, I just have to interrupt this train of thought and tell everyone that I am in the loft upstairs. My parents bedroom is sharing a wall right next to the computer and my room is down the hall a little ways. Mind you, both doors are shut to both bedrooms and I can totally hear my dad and my husband snoring in tandem. I don't know how my mom sleeps through that mess, haha!

With that, I will leave you with that pointless information a go watch QVC until I fall to sleep! Good night world and until next time...
